Dandruff

Dandruff is most commonly caused by Malassezia, Seborrheic Dermatitis or dry skin. When treating dandruff it is important to get to know the cause so you can ensure your are not further aggravating the condition. 

PRO TIP

Treating dry dandruff - Gently exfoliate the scalp to remove excess dead skin cells. Use hydrating products and avoid anything designed to remove the natural oils in your hair. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

Treating oily dandruff - Make sure you are using clarifying products and wash your hair regularly. Avoid applying any conditioners to the scalp. Regular exfoliation will help but make sure you are not over stimulating the scalp and encouraging increased oil production.
